Project Objectives: Design the front and back cover for a historical publication by translating the author's vision into a cohesive and marketable book cover.
The project involved incorporating archival photographs of individuals featured in the book and creating a custom silhouette illustration inspired by the composition of the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover. The color palette, typography, and marigold motif were also influenced by the album's psychedelic and circus-inspired visual aesthetic. The goal was to develop a visually engaging cover that connected the book's historical content with a distinctive contemporary design approach. Two cover concepts were created and presented to the publisher through professional book mockups for review and consideration.
